When a doctor says surgery, a family has questions
Being advised to have surgery can leave a patient worried. At home, the family may be trying to understand the reports, arrange money and decide what to do next. Even after a consultation, a few important questions can remain: Is the surgery needed? Can we wait? Is there another treatment? What are the risks?
Asking for a second opinion does not mean that you do not trust your doctor. It means you want to understand a major decision properly. But finding the right specialist, carrying reports between hospitals and repeating the same history can be tiring, especially when someone in the family is already unwell.
This is why Rukman Digital Ventures created SurgeryVerdict as its healthcare division. Our purpose is patient support. We want patients to have a clear way to seek an independent opinion on the surgery advised to them, without having to manage every step on their own.
You share your medical records and the questions you want answered. A coordinator checks the records, and a specialist reviews your case. Before the written opinion reaches you, it is checked against your questions. The aim is simple: help you understand what is being advised and what you should discuss with your treating doctor.

A little more clarity before you decide
We cannot promise that every second opinion will change the treatment plan. Sometimes it confirms what your doctor has already advised. That clarity matters too. What we want is for you and your family to understand the next step, rather than agree to it with unanswered questions.
